A Time and Place

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
-Ecclesiastes 3: 1-9

Misfortune

Words to know how to pronounce before reading this poem:

Goolamaju: Goo-lah-mah-joo
Gillybajuvv: Gill-ee-bah-juhv
Gigillybat: Gig-illy-bat
Gimmelejantz: Gim-eh-ley-jants
Gibbilybert: Gib-illy-birt
Gollowtatok: Gall-oh-tuh-tock

Thank you, and have a nice day.

Misfortune

Deep in the forest of Goolamaju
There fled a strange man who had stolen my shoe
He dwelt in a cottage with his wife named Sue
And together they lived in harmony

Along the coastline of Gillybajuvv
I met a young boy who had stolen my glove
He laughed and he sang and he shouted, "Tough love!"
And he skipped away rather merrily

Somewhere in the cave of Gigilybat
Sat an old witch who had stolen my hat
She cast a spell and dipped my hat in a vat
For she thought it would make her fair, you see

Then in the crag of Gimmelejantz
I found the hunchback who had stolen my...
Well, I think you know

Far in the mountains of Gibbilybert
There knelt a crazed drunk who had stolen my shirt
And to make it worse, he then put on a skirt
And then the crazed drunk climbed up in a tree

In the fair field meadow of Gollowtatok
Sprawled a small girl who had stolen my sock
And now it seems that the whole world must mock
My poor grief filled life and misery

Just when I felt I'd lost everything
A leprechaun popped up and stole my gold ring
...Oh.
So NOW I suppose I've lost everything!

This world to me is a mystery.

Top 10 Things - Why I Slack

Top 10 Things
Reasons I slack off

  1. Apathy (Yeah, I know that's a lame excuse of a word to put at the top of my top 10 list, but unfortunately it's true!)
  2. I get lost in my daydreams and can't find my way back out.

  3. OUTRIGHT REBELLION.
  4. My pet dragon needs constant feeding, and I don't want him mad. Trust me. Neither do you.
  5. I've done too much stuff already! So I sit on the couch and do nothing. (Except for watch the clock. It's actually pretty entertaining, contrary to popular belief.)
  6. I... Um... I'll get back to you on that.
  7. I get distracted by eye candy, ear candy, or the yummy candy that you eat. (Like Jr. Mints. Oh man. HEAVEN!)
  8. I forget what I was doing, or why I even started.

So... What's Up With You?

The following quote kind of sums up my week.

In a good way.

"Once there was an ugly barnacle. He was so ugly that everybody died.
The End."

Icarus

Icarus

And as I walk underneath the silver stars
Unaware of the bustling street cars
Breathing, again, the peach flavored sky
I remember the time that I could fly

It was a calm night, such as this
And it started out as nothing more than a wish
But slowly I fell out of myself
As the waves lapped upon the ocean shelf

Then faster; there was something amiss
But my mind was too cluttered to realize the bliss
Was it the wind that I first realized
That I felt with my hand when I opened my eyes?

Or was it the sound of the billowing sea
Loudly strumming its crests, waiting for me?
Ah, yes. There was definitely something calling my name
But the clouds all around me just sounded the same

When I first looked down from my gathering height
The silhouetted city stared back, to my fright
But no matter how hard I tried to find peace with my lies
The city kept glaring with its glossy black eyes

I never felt safe with the sight at my back
I couldn’t hide from the memories I needed so much to lack
I couldn’t run, no matter how hard I tried
But the worst of all was that I wasn’t able to hide

The ocean beneath me seemed to mock my attempts
As it lazily flowed to the city, to my contempt
It was then that I discovered my marvelous escape:
I stopped, to clear my mind of the thick, troublesome drape

I stopped with the worries, stopped with the pain
Stopped all the heartbreak pouring down on me like rain
I stopped with the stress that tore at my mind
I stopped it all, and left it all behind

And then! Oh how wonderful it was to see
My problems all plummet, dropping very quickly
And I could fly! I was free!
I never again felt like I was chained to a tree

And the places I found! The things I heard!
The things I tasted, and saw, and explored!
It was relieving to my heart
To at last have a chance for a new start

And as I walked underneath the silver stars
Not thinking of the busy street cars
Breathing, again, the peach flavored sky
I remember the time that I could fly

Oh, I remember the time that I could fly

The Worth of Music

So I haven't written on my blog for a long time. I know, and you know, so let's just forget the past and move on.

...But I don't really feel like writing. So you listen. Listen to what I've made, and I hope you like it. :) A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a song without words has infinite possibilities.

I'll write an actual post some time in the future. But now is not that time. Have a wonderful day/night. :)
