The Beginning After the End

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened"
~Dr. Seuss

This quote was pretty fitting for last night, our final performance of Seussical the Musical.

After three long months of practicing for those few moments of glory, they're finally over. But crying? No. Smiling, yes.
All of those moments we had bonding together as a cast, all of those injuries, all of those awkward moments, they're not worth crying for. What good does crying do? You shed a few tears and then what? Smiling on the other hand, now that is what our experiences are worth. Smiles and laughs. Yes, I will definitely miss this cast. They were amazing! What can I say? But they don't deserve my tears, they deserve my laughs, so that is what I'll give them.
But now what will I do? All of the practices are over! The performances are done. This is always one of those moments I look at as a bittersweet. I'm half glad it's over so I can sit back and breath again, but I will miss the moments our cast shared together.
Luckily this is the beginning after the end. High school is just around the corner! And I can honestly say I'm looking forward to it. Not just the drama aspect of it, but the new experiences, the new friends, and everything else that comes with high school. So as one corridor has been passed through, the next one lies just ahead, and I am ready for my new adventure!
